Give the details time to surface
The first question may only tell part of the story. Be willing to listen a little longer and ask what else the homeowner wants understood.
Bring your experience. Make a difference.
Use your Montana community knowledge to make the first homeowner conversation more personal.
Some of the best sales conversations start with a simple question: “What happened?” At Solar Exit Montana, we want people who can ask that question, understand the answer and help a homeowner take the next step.
Tell us about yourselfIf you have sold solar, you know there is more to the job than a pitch. You have explained unfamiliar paperwork, answered difficult questions and earned someone's trust at their kitchen table. Those skills still matter when the conversation changes from buying solar to figuring out what went wrong.
Maybe you have dealt with delayed commissions, changing company priorities or one too many trips away from home. Maybe you simply want your next chapter in sales to feel more useful. Whatever brought you here, we would like to hear your story.
Solar Exit Montana advocates for homeowners whose solar experience has not matched what they were promised. We help people facing confusing agreements, payment concerns or unresolved problems gather information for review and understand the next step. Your role starts with listening and explaining that process clearly.
The first question may only tell part of the story. Be willing to listen a little longer and ask what else the homeowner wants understood.
Perhaps customers know you for being clear, prepared or dependable. Tell us what you do well and how you have used it when someone needed help understanding a service.
If you are exploring this alone, tell us about your experience. If a team is part of your plans, share who you work with and what interests you.
NorthWestern Energy's Montana net-metering guidance explains an annual settle-up process in which unused energy credits are surrendered without payment. A credit balance therefore needs to be understood within the account's billing cycle. This is a NorthWestern arrangement, not a statement about every Montana electric provider.
If a homeowner says a balance disappeared, the useful first questions concern the statement date, the settle-up notice and what the solar proposal said about credits. Avoid treating an account adjustment as proof of a contract problem before the details are reviewed. Ask separately about any solar payment that has become difficult to manage.
Solar Exit Montana is looking for people who can help customers reconstruct the sequence clearly. Good notes and reliable follow-up can make a confusing annual statement easier to discuss. Explain our review process while leaving tariff interpretation and any legal conclusions to the appropriate specialists.
Tell us about your connections in Billings, Missoula, Great Falls, Bozeman or smaller Montana communities. Be clear about the area you would represent and how you plan follow-up across it. We want to hear how you build lasting customer relationships rather than chase a quick introduction.

We are interested in people who communicate clearly, follow up thoughtfully and care about doing right by the customer. Solar experience is useful, but it is not the only background worth bringing. If you are new to this kind of work, tell us why it interests you.
This starts with an introduction, not a lengthy application. Share a few details below and someone from our team will reach out to learn more about you and answer your questions.
We expect honest representation, respect for the homeowner’s decision and clear explanations of our service. Representatives do not provide legal advice or promise a cancellation, refund or other outcome.
